The evening started with Prosecco contributed by Simon still celebrating his half century birthday. The we settled to supper supplied as usual by host Paul.

May Gathering

Our May gathering hailed the arrival of Spring though whilst not warm enough to brave eating Al Fresco a wander into the garden in the early evening was very pleasant. Some arrived a little on the late side due to heavy traffic assumed to be caused by an accident somewhere in the local area.

We poured Sparkling Bubbles for everyone's arrival just to get us into the right frame of mind, laughter and giggles ensued remembering some of the banter from our last gathering in April as Supper was served up.

Coq au Riesling
Kenya beans with red Kidney Beans and Slivers of Garlic
Baby Charlotte Potatoes

Galette of Strawberries and Blueberries

Exchanges carried on over Supper with references to varying Business and Social activities. The evening drifted on rather longer than usual and everybody drifted off into the chilled evening air to face another working day just a sleep away.

Our next gathering will be same place and same time on Tuesday 9th June 2015 - Sally will send reminders out as usual.

Starting 2015

WSC

WHITTON SUPPER CLUB

We started the year with our first meeting in January and have now met three times with our last meeting in March. A slow start with several involved in Charitable activities and business commitments.

However it is amazing how there is always someone new to introduce themselves and create lively conversation. Our referrals have also been interesting. One a solicitor had a successful introduction to Elizabeth Bessant, a dress maker for her wedding dress. Another had a new bed delivered recently - one of those wonderful "Lenny Henry Hypnos Beds" We are delighted to see Nina from Freidemodin Parfums who has newly opened a counter in Harvey Nichols. Also happy to see Caroline who regales us with her latest events and activities at Star Turn. Linda pops by from time to time from the HFMA

We also enjoy seeing Tony our hairdresser, martial arts expert and Conscious Breathworks. Then there is Lindy from the Telephone Marketing Company. Alan from Teddington Lodge and Jeannie our Lettings Management Agent. Clair who arranges Marquees and Covers. Asoka from AKCA. Shane from Whitefarm Lodge Care home and Paul Head of Music at Grey Court School another Paul of Fulcrum Marketing+PR.
Len of World Track Travel. Lorna has to be mentioned from the Victoria Foundation which many of our members give their spare time to raising funds.

These are just a few that we see and gives an idea of the diversity of our gatherings. Conversation ensues over the two course Supper supplied by Paul the host and helped by, Sally the Clubs Secretary. Everyone brings their own preferred drink, usually wine and occasionally a soft drink but all is taken in good camaraderie. We don't usually finish late. Starting at 18.30 hours and we are finished by about 21.00 hours, making a pleasant after work repast and not spoiling work for the next day.

If you would like more details contact Paul on pawjh2000@yahoo.co.uk.
